Pokémon Café ReMix is a puzzle game that takes you back to the Pokémon universe via your Android device. Specifically, in this title, it's up to you to take charge of a new and upcoming coffee shop that many of the characters from the iconic franchise go to regularly. In order to complete each of their orders, you'll have to solve fun puzzles where you match up different items until you meet the puzzle guidelines.
Visuals in Pokémon Café ReMix are absolutely charming and there's tons of different Pokémon that visit your cafe as customers. After each character's arrival, you have to get to work whipping up any coffee drink or meal item they ordered as quickly as possible. In fact, in each level, new customer order forms pop up and you'll need to use them as a recipe book so you know which elements to extract from each board.
The mechanics of the puzzles in Pokémon Café ReMix are not too far off from your average match-3. But, this time around, new resources are added and it's up to you to unlock them as you go by filling up each of your energy bars. This adds an extra element of fun, given that you'll need to clear many different rows and columns of Pokémon as fast as you can. Plus, you can join an unlimited number of pieces at any time, even if they're not adjacent to each other. In fact, sometimes you'll need to slide your finger over most of the board in order to get all the points to line up and finish each order properly. But be careful, as you progress through the game, the number of moves you have for each puzzle lowers -- and things get much trickier very quickly.
As you cook up each Pokémon's order, you earn rewards to continue building up and adding new items to your cafe. Plus, if you do things right, you'll also add new Pokémon to your fanbase, creating your own list of return customers that come back to get their favorite meals -- but that's only if they're happy with your cooking and service.
